We are holding the first ever ArcanisCon with 2 new soft point modules, a LARP and a Battle Interactive! All written by Tony Nijssen. It will take place over the weekend of March 8-10 this year, at the Hilton of Oak Brook (a suburb of Chicago). http://www.hiltonhotelsofoakbrookterrace.com/
NOTE: This does not replace the Arcanis events at Origins, but supplements them to tide you over until June.
Please sign up early for two reasons: One, if we know we'll need more rooms, it's easier to increase the block available sooner rather than a couple weeks before the convention. Past February 1st, we will absolutely not be able to increase the block of rooms available at this rate. Two, if we can't increase the block of rooms available due to other scheduling, wouldn't you rather be one of the ones getting the cheap rate, rather than having to pay extra?
Schedule: As it currently stands, the following is the schedule for ArcaniCon.
Friday 15:00-19:00: Soft Point #1
Friday 20:00-23:00: LARP
Saturday 00:00-Whenever: Arcanis Chat Time and Plot Development Round Table (Basically, an informal "we'd like to see these areas fleshed out/developed." May also cover Suggestions for Good Module Submissions, and Plea for More Module Submissions).
Saturday 9:00-13:00: Soft Point #2
Saturday 14:00-18:00/19:00-23:00: Battle Interactive
Sunday 00:00-Whenever: Cards Against Humanity! (With Arcanis players. Talk about morally grey)
Sunday 8:30-12:30: Open Library / Something Special

Venue/Lodging
Cost: $89 a night. With taxes, the total should come to about $99.68 for each night, $199.36 if you stay both nights. Parking is free for those driving.
Walking distance to mall with food court, plus a restaurant that does full buffet breakfast as well as lunch/supper right at the hotel.
You can now reserve your rooms for the hotel. The phone number to use is 1-800-HILTONS. Tell them that you want the ArcanisCon group rate. This rate is good for up to three days before and three days after the convention, so if you want to come early or stay late, you can. Or you can reserve your room through this link.

PLEASE NOTE: You will not actually be charged for your hotel room until the date of the event itself, and can cancel your room up to a week beforehand with no charge to yourself, so please feel free to book a room just in case, even if you're only tentative about going... you wouldn't want to not have a room in case you decide to go, eh? |

Transportation
Airport Shuttle: Sadly, there is no airport shuttle from the hotel itself. Taxi service (according to best internet guesses) costs about $30-40 depending on traffic. |

Community
Judges: Anyone who judges a slot for me will be comped their badge cost for sure. I may even be able to run Slot-0s for judges via Skype or Google Hangouts. Anyone who judges the BI, I'll think of some awesome way to thank them. The number of judges I'll need is dependent on the number of players who attend of course. |
